How it works
Write
Write beside your sources, and export the result when you are done.
In short
- A document is made of blocks: paragraphs, headings, lists, tables, pictures, formulas.
- A passage sent from another pane stays linked to its source.
- Export to Markdown, HTML, PDF, OpenDocument or LaTeX.
How to start a document
- Right-click the empty canvas and choose ✍️ Write pane….
- Type. Enter starts a new block; # at the start of a line makes a heading.
How to bring in a source
- Select text in any pane, right-click, and choose ✍️ Send to Write pane.
- It turns green in its source and appears as a chip in the 📚 Resources tray.
- Click a chip to jump back. Drag it onto a block to mark where that block came from.
How to export
- Press ⤓ in the Write pane and pick a format.
- Sources you cited come along as numbered references.
Good to know
- 🕘 Snapshots keep whole versions you can restore.
- 🔀 Track changes lists every edit, to accept or revert.
- ⛶ Focus mode fills the screen with the document; Esc leaves it.
