How it works
Add things
Paste a link or pick a file: it opens as a pane on the canvas.
In short
- Files from this computer: PDFs, books, office documents, videos and music.
- Links from the web: a page, a YouTube video, a Facebook or TikTok post.
- Nothing lands twice. When pasted links are listed for you to tick, one already open as a pane is left unticked.
How to add a file
- Right-click the empty canvas, or click ➕ in the feed. A menu opens.
- Pick the kind of file: 📎 Import PDF…, 📕 Import book (EPUB)…, 📄 Import document (Word · Excel · PowerPoint · ODF)…, 🎬 Add a video from this computer… or 🎵 Music….
- Choose the file. It opens as a pane.
How to add a link
- Paste the link into the box at the top of the feed and press Save, or drop it on the canvas. It opens as the right kind of pane.
- Paste a block of text and every link in it is listed by type, for you to tick.
Good to know
- Posts behind a login (Facebook, TikTok) come through the browser extension. See Save from your phone or browser.
- A dead link says so. A post gone at the source is reported.
- Office documents are converted and read in place; citations and the bibliography stay with PDFs.
Over your month’s data limit, an import is refused before any download. See Usage and limits.
